Family Drug Court
Family Drug Court (FDC) is a collaboratively designed, coordinated response to child welfare cases where the parent or parents have been assessed and diagnosed as chemically dependent. In the best interest of the children, the parents are guided through 12 months of treatment services that include, but are not limited to, addiction treatment, parenting skills, domestic violence counseling, mental health assistance, educational and job placement training.

Rancho Coastal Humane Society:
Rancho Coastal Humane Society is proud to be the only shelter in San Diego County, and one of the first in the nation, to offer a sheltering program for the pets of domestic violence victims. Our Animal Safehouse Program provides temporary shelter and care, at no charge, for the pets of victims of domestic abuse. Victims and their children will often stay with a batterer because they fear their pets will be neglected, injured or killed if left behind. Unfortunately, domestic violence shelters are unable to accept pets. With our help, survivors and their children can seek the assistance they need, knowing that their pets are safe. Because of the Animal Safehouse Program, no one is forced to choose between abandoning a beloved pet and staying in an abusive relationship.
