Continuing Education
The Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma is a continuing education provider for the following professions:
Psychologists (APA): IVAT is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for psychologists. IVAT maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
National Certified Counselors (NBCC): IVAT is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors, provider # 5659. IVAT adheres to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines.
MFT's and LCSW's: IVAT is approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (PCE #33) to offer continuing education for LCSW's and MFT's.
Nurses: IVAT is approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses to offer continuing education (CEP #13737).
Substance Abuse Counselors: IVAT is approved by the California Association of Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC) to offer continuing education for certified alcohol and drug counselors (Provider #1S-03-499-0109).
Attorneys (MCLE): IVAT is approved by the State Bar of California to offer Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) for attorneys (Provider #11600).
All IVAT sponsored Professional Training workshops are continuing education opportunities.
Get Your Conference Co-Sponsored for Continuing Education!!
IVAT also will co-sponsor other organizations' conferences or training workshops to offer continuing education.
