The purpose of the Volunteer Management Program at IVAT is to engage the community in a collaborative effort to improve the quality of life for those impacted by violence, abuse and trauma.

Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma (IVAT) is dedicated to actively involving the community in the daily operations of the Institute by means of a year round volunteer management program. The volunteer management program and its participants are fully integrated into IVAT. We look forward to having a strong group of community members working with the Institute in its movement toward the accomplishment of its mission.

Benefits of Volunteering at IVAT

  1. Volunteers will gain experience working in a unique non- profit environment that is actively working to improve the lives for individuals who have been impacted by issues of violence, abuse and trauma.
  2. Volunteers will have access to the IVAT Educational Resource Center which contains over 450 titles and will receive 25% off of any purchase made in the center while actively volunteering.
  3. Volunteers are able to received waived registration fees if they wish to attend IVAT trainings and conferences.
