Gerald Stone



Mr. Stone Began his undergraduate education at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA and completed his undergraduate degree at Columbia Christian University in Portland, OR in 1987. Post Graduate education was completed at Phillips Graduate Institute in Encino, CA.

Work History:

Mr. Stone began his career in 1988 working as an Emergency Response Social Worker for Riverside County DPSS. In 1989, Mr. Stone took a position as a Senior Analyst with the State of California Department of Social Services in Orange County CA. He continued to work for the State, investigating and monitoring facilities for children and dependant adults, until May of 1997 when he left his position to work for himself as a consultant for dependant care agencies throughout the states of California and Nevada.

In 2001, Mr. Stone returned to work with Riverside County Child Protective Services as an Emergency Response investigator. In 2005  Mr. Stone was promoted to Supervisor for the Enhanced Medical Services Unit in Riverside County DPSS. He spent more than 10 years as a Supervisor and Acting Manager, overseeing programs such as the Out of Home Investigations Unit, Forensic Interview program, 24 hour CPS Command Post, and Central Intake Region. During his time with Child Protective Services, Mr. Stone Joined IVAT as a contract trainer, and a part of a multi disciplinary team training professionals nationwide on the handling of child abuse cases for children with disabilities. 

In 2015, Mr. Stone retired from public service. He has worked part time as a consultant on Child Abuse Cases and Dependant Care Programs.

Mr. Stone also has served for many years as a volunteer member of the Board of Directors for Progressive Choices Inc. in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr. Stone enjoys Mountain, Glacier, and Rock Climbing, Snow Skiing, Wake Boarding, Scuba Diving, Sailing, and flying small planes.
