Teri is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience helping adults, teenagers, and children overcome challenges in life. She has worked in non-profit agencies, schools, and private settings. Teri believes that every person has the inner capacity for growth, healing, and change, and she is passionate about empowering clients to find greater balance, personal insight, and resiliency. Her areas of focus include adult and childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief/loss, teen/adolescent issues, family-of-origin issues, self-esteem difficulties, and LGBT issues. Teri’s style is client-centered and collaborative, and she uses cognitive-behavioral techniques, somatic approaches, mindfulness, EMDR, sandtray therapy, play therapy, and expressive arts in her work.
