Ashley Tapia, M.S.W., LCSW

Ashley Tapia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California and Texas specializing in child and family mental health, psychotherapy, and forensic evaluation. She earned her Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach in 2019. Ms. Tapia has four years of experience with Child Welfare Services in Orange and San Diego Counties, where she conducted child abuse and neglect investigations, assessed child safety and risk, provided reunification services, and worked with families involved in dependency court.

Since 2022, she has provided inpatient and outpatient mental health services to children and adolescents as a clinician and program manager. Her experience includes individual, group, and family psychotherapy, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, program oversight, and care coordination. Her clinical focus includes trauma, depression, anxiety, behavioral concerns, and major life transitions. She earned a Certificate in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health from Georgetown University in May 2026 and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs.

In private practice, Ms. Tapia provides remote psychotherapy and EMDR services to adults and conducts forensic mental health evaluations for immigration matters. Since 2024, she has completed more than 100 immigration-related evaluations. Ms. Tapia is bilingual in English and Spanish and holds the Sweetwater Union High School District Seal of Biliteracy with Distinction.
