Collaborators

IVAT is a comprehensive resource and training center addressing all aspects of exploitation, violence, abuse and trauma across the lifespan. Our objective is to bridge the gaps between policy, practice and research to improve current systems through collaboration with diverse partnering organizations. The overall mission of IVAT is to improve the quality of life for individuals by sharing information, improving professional networking, and assisting with program evaluation, consultations and trainings that promote violence-free societies. Together, we will cultivate multidiscipline prevention and intervention strategies that promote violence-free societies.

Our collaboration agreements are 100% voluntary between two organizations to cross-promote and explore opportunities to engage throughout the year. As each organization has varying budgets and commitments there is flexibility in how collaborate, and we aim to be reciprocal in cross-promotion on social media and sharing information on our respective websites. Collaborating with others dedicated to ending violence is a cornerstone of IVAT's strategic plan.

3Strands Global Foundation
3Strands Global Foundation was founded in response to an event that shook a small, tight-knit California community. A young girl was trafficked for 8 days before she was recovered by law enforcement. This would later spark the creation of PROTECT prevention education, which has gone on to educate hundreds of thousands of students on how to stay safe from human trafficking. The 3SGF team then recognized that there needed to be more resources available to survivors and those who face barriers to sustainable economic opportunities. With this in mind, 3SGF launched the Employ + Empower program, which has helped support and economically empower hundreds of individuals.

L’Associazione Italiana di Psicologia e Criminologia (A.I.P.C.)
The Italian Association of Psychology and Criminology (AIPC) is a voluntary organization (ODV) founded in Rome in 2001 which is characterized by multidisciplinarity and specific experiences in the psychological, legal, forensic and neuroscientific fields; in particular, it deals with the prevention and contrast of violent and persecutory conduct and has always been involved in awareness campaigns on the issues of violence aimed at schools and the general population.

is a non-profit consulting and training organization dedicated to helping other non-profits and businesses create healthier and more productive work environments.  By bringing together business, non-profit, psychology, and complementary healing experts, ATJ delivers comprehensive, high quality services that result in lasting, positive change for both employees and organizations.

Academy on Violence and Abuse
 is a multi-discipline membership organization, to encourage research regarding the health effects of exposure to violence and to promote improved health professional education in the prevention, recognition and treatment of violence and abuse.

African American Domestic Peace Project
The Mission of the African American Domestic Peace Project (AADPP) is to share ways to reduce violence and increase peace with in the African American Community. AADPP was created from a project of the Institute on Domestic Violence in the African American Community (IDVAAC). This project gathered members in different cities, in African American communities across the United States that worked to reduce violence and increase peace with in their community. These individuals and many of their programs learn from each other, they share their perspectives with others and encourage anyone inclined to address domestic violence.

Agape Group of Escondido
Our agency provides Court ordered counseling for Domestic Violence & Anger Management; available for male and female offenders as well as counseling for Teen Dating Violence.

AHA Foundation
AHA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is committed to preserving, protecting, and promoting Western freedoms and ideals. Alliance of Relative Caregivers
Mission is to provide advocacy, resources, and compassionate family support for all kinship caregivers, resource families as well as young adults aging out of the foster care system.

American Health Services of San Diego

American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC) 
is the leading national organization supporting professionals who serve children and families affected by child maltreatment and violence. As a multidisciplinary group of professionals, APSAC achieves its mission in a number of ways, most notably through expert trainings and educational activities, policy leadership and collaboration, and consultation that emphasizes theoretically sound, evidence-based principles.

American Psychological Association-Public Interest Directories 
The American Psychological Association advances the creations, communication, and application of psychological knowledge to benefit society and improve people’s lives.  APA’s Public Interest Directorate provides resources, programs, and advocacy addressing family violence, child abuse and neglect, intimate violence, media violence, and violence prevention. 

American Psychological Association
Mission is to promote the advancement, communication, and application of psychological science and knowledge to benefit society and improve lives. APA utilizes psychology to make a positive impact on critical societal issues. Elevates the public’s understanding of, regard for, and use of psychology. Prepares the discipline and profession of psychology for the future. Strengthens APA’s standing as an authoritative voice for psychology.

Anchor Counseling and Educational Solutions
Provides mental health and behavioral health interventions in order to treat (reduce / resolve) the social emotional issues that interfere with the student’s ability to successfully access their academic curriculum. We provide these services in a way that is modern and innovative. Anchor Counseling & Education Solutions, LLC was founded upon the belief that students, whether at-risk or at-advantage, are being bombarded with a social emotional landscape that is more intense and decisively harder to navigate. Our role as a full service Related Service Providers is to bolster this level of preparation through an active oriented and corrective therapeutic experience.

Association of Batterers Intervention Program (ABIP)
ABIP is committed to ending the interpersonal cruelty of domestic violence, increasing the safety of domestic violence victims and their children, reducing batterer behavior and thinking, making safe communities rather than victims of violent crimes.

Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists (ATSS)
The mission of ATSS is to help the traumatized through international service, education and professional development. 

Aurrera Health Group/Pathways to Resilience
Pathways to Resilience is raising awareness about ACEs, trauma, and toxic stress; building and promoting cross-sector strategies for preventing and addressing adversity and trauma; advancing understanding of the importance of positive relationships and experiences in building resilience; and ultimately improving our nation’s health.

Battered Women's Justice Project
 is the National Center for the Civil and Criminal Justice response to domestic violence for the Department of Justice office on Violence Against Women.

Battering Intervention Services Coalition of Michigan (BISC-MI)
Provides a working forum for interaction and information sharing among agencies and individuals concerned with the provision of battering intervention services in Michigan. BISC-MI helps create and maintain coordinated community actions that hold those who batter accountable for their behavior and promote safety and empowerment for victims. Gives safety, needs, and concerns of victims/survivors priority over the interests of those who batter or any battering intervention service model. Promotes social change which works toward a society based on equality and nonviolence.

Beautiful Dying
is a collaboration of a heart-centered and compassionate team of community leaders connecting with people worldwide to expand awareness, encourage meaningful conversations by illuminating the process of dying and death. With a growing global community seeking answers we help create action plans for life, celebration, dying, death and grief.

Bellows Consulting 
specializes in consulting and case management of family abuse, addictive behaviors, and cognitive disabilities. Dr. Bellows uses Choice Theory to reduce or eliminate aggression in the family and community by conducting domestic violence groups and parenting groups.

Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition (BSCC) 
is a not for profit agency working bi-nationally to preserve the dignity and wellbeing of commercially and sexually exploited men, women, and children through prevention, intervention, and education, focusing largely on educating the community.

Bluewater Mission- Justice Ministry
Bluewater Mission began in 2009 with a group of about thirty believers, a team of volunteer leaders, and one office desk in a garage. Within a year, we were renting a gym for large group meetings, had begun sheltering trafficking survivors in a safe home, and had sent off our first foreign mission. We began with the conviction that whatever we believed in, we would try. We sometimes succeed, and often fail, but always stoke the faith to try.

Break the Cycle 
is the leading organization working to provide comprehensive dating abuse programs for young people and their adult allies. Through innovative prevention programs, public campaigns, and direct services, we inspire and support young people to create a culture of healthy relationships.

Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence (BTSADV) 
Our mission is to educate communities on the dangers of domestic violence, connect victim and survivors and assist in the transformation of lives of victims by providing a development retreat, educational programs, and an advocate hotline.

California American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (CAPSAC)
is the California chapter of The American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC), a nonprofit, multidisciplinary organization focused on meeting the needs of professionals of all disciplines serving maltreated children and their families. California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT)- San Diego:
The mission of the San Diego Chapter of CAMFT is to bring together and support members of our profession throughout southern San Diego County while supporting the objectives and purpose of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. We are an inclusive and welcoming community of therapists. We believe in supporting and maintaining the high ethical standards and skills of our members through professional development and networking. We additionally aim to expand the recognition and awareness of the profession within the San Diego community. 

California Protective Parents Association (CPPA)
Protecting children from incest, abuse and domestic violence through research, education and advocacy. One life story can change your life. One story can make you stand up for change. One story led to starting California Protective Parents Association (CPPA). California Protective Parents Association (CPPA) was formed in 1998 by Connie Valentine and Karen Anderson to ensure there would be an end to abuse in our family courts and children could be safe at home.

Catholic Charities Hawai’i 
is a fully integrated organization offering services for people in need through approximately 35 unique programs statewide.  These programs address many social and behavioral community areas of need that people living in Hawaii face every day.  Some of these include child abuse, homelessness, child and adolescent emotional and behavioral problems, immigrant and senior issues and teen pregnancy.

Center for Contextual Change 
is an outpatient treatment center with 3 offices in the Chicago area. We specialize in the treatment of trauma, violence and the effects of abusive behaviors. Our therapeutic process is grounded in the Collaborative Stage Model developed by our Founder, Mary Jo Barrett. 

Center for Justice and Reconciliation, Point Loma of Nazarene University
We envision a community that looks to PLNU for leadership, innovation and solutions to complex community issues. Our role at the CJR is to ask the question: What are the needs in our community that Point Loma Nazarene University can uniquely address? Answering this question means leveraging our expertise, relationships and initiatives to stand in solidarity with the oppressed, teach social engagement through the lens of our faith, and bring lasting change to our community. Our work includes student-led initiatives, nationally recognized research projects, community leadership, and educational outreach. Child and Family Service
Child & Family Service (CFS) is a Hawaii-born, impact-driven, community-based organization with a mission of strengthening families and fostering the healthy development children. Our statewide community programs include preschool education, prevention of child abuse and neglect, programs for at-risk youth, domestic violence emergency services, therapeutic counseling, employment assistance, programs for elder care, and more. For the past 124 years, CFS has been one of Hawaii’s largest nonprofits providing family-strengthening services from twinkle to wrinkle.

Children’s Alliance of Hawai`i
he mission of the Children's Alliance of Hawaii is to provide care and support for children who have been sexually abused, offering hope for the future. For 30 years CAH has provided free long term mentoring and safe, small group activities for children who been affected by sexual abuse.

Children’s Institute supports parents and their children to interrupt the cycle of poverty. Christie's Place is a nonprofit social service organization in San Diego County that provides HIV/AIDS education, support and advocacy. Our mission is to empower women, children, families and individuals whose lives have been impacted by HIV/AIDS to take change of their health and well-being.

Community Resource Center
Providing Safety, Stability and Self-sufficiency in San Diego North County. Community Resource Center provides empathetic, dynamic and solution-oriented counseling where clients can learn to navigate and transform challenges and live healthy lives

Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation
Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation inspires hope and healing for children, women and families through transformative, resilience-building programs and partnerships. Consuelo Foundation promotes the well-being of at-risk children, women, and families in the Philippines and Hawai’i and to prevent and treat their abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We do this through innovative and effective strategies and services that engage and empower individuals, families, and communities.

County of San Diego: Aging & Independence Services (AIS)
Aging & Independence Services (AIS), part of the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, provides programs and services to help older adults and persons living with disabilities to stay safe, healthy, engaged, and as independent as possible. The AIS Call Center is the gateway to information and assistance about AIS programs, as well as other community services for older adults, those living with disabilities, caregivers, and family members. Call Center Specialists also take reports of suspected elder and dependent adult abuse.

Crafty Counseling and Yoga Collective
Crafty Counseling and Yoga Collective is an organization looking to promote mental health and well being through art and other creative means such as mindfulness and mindful movement.

Crisis House- Santee
Crisis House responds immediately to break the cycle of domestic violence, child abuse, and homelessness and connect families, children, and individuals to crucial resources that empower them to renew their lives.

Damon’s Center for Grief for Grief, Loss & Trauma

DBT Center of San Diego
The DBT Center of San Diego provides comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy for people with challenging emotional and behavioral issues, including borderline personality disorder, complex PTSD, self-injury, and suicide attempts. DBT is recognized as the most effective treatment for these complex problems.

Department of Prosecuting Attorney, County of Maui
The Department of the Prosecuting Attorney for the County of Maui serves the islands of Maui, Molokai, and Lanai. It is responsible for the prosecution of those who violate the criminal and traffic laws or rules and regulations of the State of Hawaii and the County of Maui.

Domestic Violence Action Center
Domestic Violence Action Center makes a difference in the lives of island families, children, marginalized communities across the State. We meet survivors on their journey. We educate the community. We encourage youth to learn about healthy relationships. We speak to the press about this complex, costly problem. We work with our community allies to reform the system. We do what we can and what we must to bring hope and healing to this community. We do it with you.

Early Trauma Prevention Center
The Early Trauma Prevention Center educates the public and professionals about generally unrecognized origins and prevention of emotional and behavioral problems such as violence. Overlooked beginnings of these problems often occur when infants are subjected to common cultural traumatic practices. Our recommendations question related cultural assumptions, help to break the cycle of violence, and support more compassion and love. A day of prevention is worth years of treatment. Our work is valuable for groups concerned about antisocial behaviors, mental health, trauma, psychology, sociology, childhood development, and parenting.

​End Rape on Campus
EROC works to end campus sexual violence through direct support for survivors and their communities; prevention through education; and policy reform at the campus, local, state, and federal levels. We envision a world in which each individual has an educational experience free from violence, and until then, that all survivors are believed, trusted, and supported.

Family Programs Hawai’i
Family Programs Hawai‘i strengthens youth and families in the child welfare system through high quality preventive and support services.  Wework to prevent them from entering the welfare system; we support children/families in foster care; and we help youth in care successfully transition into the community.

Fear 2 Freedom
Fear 2 Freedom (F2F) is a non-profit with a mission to help restore hope and dignity to survivors of sexual violence, while empowering students & communities to combat sexual violence. F2F provides programming & education on university campuses and in communities to prevent sexual violence and teach students to be compassionate to survivors. During our program, attendees assemble F2F AfterCare Kits, which have clean clothing, toiletries and therapy tools for survivors and a handwritten note of encouragement and support. We then distribute these kits to hospitals, rape crisis centers, etc to give to survivors after the SANE or PERK exam so they don't have to leave in hospital gowns or scrubs. Our hands on service learning events are very impactful for both attendees and the survivors who receive these kits.

FLW Living Well Services
FLW Living Well Services aids, encourages, and leads individuals and the communities they live in to LIVE WELL – mind, body, and spirit – through advocacy, education, and support services.  Services are available for individuals and their families, organizations, providers and communities.  Specialities include:  private healthcare advocacy, health care disparities, interpersonal and community violence and foster care issues. Free the Girls
Empowering women, exploited through sex trafficking, to rebuild their lives, regain agency, and develop resiliency. We partner with individuals and organizations working in restoration with survivors and come alongside to provide reintegration services and help answer the question of “What happens next?”

FREE to THRIVE: A Fresh Start for Human Trafficking Surviviors
Free to Thrive is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers survivors of human trafficking to be free from exploitation and to thrive by providing them with holistic and trauma-informed, legal and support services in collaboration with our service partners, and by increasing access to justice for all survivors.

Generate Hope
Generate Hope provides a safe place for victims of sex trafficking to be restored through long-term housing, healing via group and individual therapy, and education toward a high school diploma or college preparation. 

Groundswell Community Project
Our research-based surf therapy curriculum and programs are rooted in somatic, trauma-informed, nature, and community therapy models to best support the holistic healing of womxn and their communities overcoming various forms of trauma and its mental health effects. With our home roots in San Diego, California, and branches that extend across the globe, we strive to break down barriers and build up communities that celebrate mental health, women’s health, and ocean health.

HandsOn San Diego
HandsOn San Diego is San Diego County’s local volunteer center. Our goal is to connect San Diegans looking for volunteer opportunities to the organizations that need their support by gathering volunteer opportunities throughout the county into one central place.

Harmonium.
Services that promote well-being. Harmonium promotes self-sufficiency and well-being in children and youth (ages 0-25) and their families through creative education, intervention and prevention services rooted in collaboration with neighborhoods and families. Harmonium reaches more than 30,000 San Diegans each year through a wide variety of trauma-informed, innovative and customized program services, including: Children's Before-and-After School Programs, Youth Development, Community Behavioral Health, and Community Advocacy and Training.

Hawaiʻi Childrenʻs Trust Fund
The Hawaiʻi Children’s Trust Fund (HCTF) ensures that Hawaiʻi’s children develop into healthy, productive, and caring individuals by promoting the advancement of community family strengthening programs in order to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Hawai`i Executive Office on Aging
The Executive Office on Aging (EOA) is the designated lead agency in the coordination of a statewide system of aging and caregiver support services in the State of Hawaii, as authorized by federal and state laws. The federal Older Americans Act establishes an Aging Network and provides federal funding for elderly support services, nutrition services, preventive health services, elder rights protection, and family caregiver support services. Chapter 349 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes establishes the Executive Office on Aging as the focal point for all matters relating to older adults’ needs and the coordination and development of caregiver support services within the State of Hawaii.

The Hawai'i Psychological Association is the leading resource for psychological health, research, and policy in Hawai'i.

Hawai`i State Coalition Against Domestic Violence
The Hawai‘i State Coalition Against Domestic Violence advances the safety and healing of victims, survivors and their families. We are the collective voice of a diverse network of organizations and individuals, working to eliminate all forms of domestic violence in Hawai‘i. HSCADV is a nonprofit organization and a statewide partnership of domestic violence programs and shelters. We are not a direct service provider. HSCADV envisions a Hawai‘i where all individuals and families thrive and live free from violence. HSCADV is the collective voice of a diverse network of organizations and individuals, working to eliminate all forms of domestic violence in Hawai‘i by: fostering partnership, increasing awareness of domestic violence, developing the capacity of our member programs and community partners to address the needs of survivors and their families, and advocating for social justice and change.

Hawai`i Youth Services Network
Since children and youth live in our communities, we must recognize and value them as community assets and include them in decisions that affect their lives in communities, school systems, churches and in our public policy decision-making. We must meaningfully engage youth in all aspects of community life. Through recreation, education, prevention, treatment, outreach, counseling and shelter programs, HYSN supports youth and families and seeks to build stronger communities. Through our shared advocacy on behalf of youth, HYSN seeks to educate our communities and our decision-makers. Through our networking, HYSN seeks to build collaborations that provide for increased effectiveness and decreased costs of youth services

HEAL Trafficking, Inc.
HEAL Trafficking unifies and mobilizes interdisciplinary professionals combating human trafficking through a healthcare lens and serves as a centralized resource on health for the broader anti-trafficking community. Our 500+ members include leaders from clinical practice, public health, global health, academia, and government, working in 28 states and at the national and international level. 

Hecht Trauma Institute
The Hecht Trauma Institute utilizes advanced technology to provide the finest online training and information to clinicians treating trauma. We support and contribute to leading-edge research while collaborating with other institutions and organizations to enrich knowledge and strengthen advocacy for those impacted with complex trauma. 

Hiding Spot
Hiding Spot is a short film about a woman who is triggered by the neighborhood kids playing hide and
seek, causing her to realize that the sexual assault of her past affected her more than she believed.

Hoʻoikaika Partnership
The Hoʻoikaika Partnership is a cross-sector coalition of community-based organizations, county and state agencies a committed to preventing child abuse and neglect in Maui county. Our prevention network supports collaboration, shares resources, and shapes policy to prevent child maltreatment.

Ho`ōla Nā Pua
Ho’ōla Nā Pua (New Life for Our Children) was founded to shine light on the dark criminal enterprise of sex trafficking, placing the health of Hawaii’s youth at the center of our mission and vision for our community. We are committed to the prevention of sex trafficking and providing care for children who have been exploited. Ho’ōla Nā Pua (HNP) is dedicated to creating a community where children are safe and have the ability to embrace their bright futures. Today, not only does HNP offer integrated programming that reaches over thousands of youth and community members and stakeholders across the state of Hawaii annually, but is considered a national partner and a rising standard in the global effort to stop sex trafficking, permanently.

Hope in Hearts, INC.
At Hope in Hearts, our goal is to restore hope, through resources and services to sex trafficked and domestic violence survivors , to include housing and job assistance, life skills & personal development programs that create spaces of growth and purpose.

HT-RADAR
HT-RADAR is a collaborative research environment for data analysts, researchers, and other stakeholders who have skills and interests related to human trafficking related research, and is coordinated by Point Loma Nazarene University / Center for Justice and Reconciliation (PLNU/CJR).

Institute for Counseling (RESPECT Parenting Class)
Provides a parenting program for parents whose children have been exposed to traumas including family violence, child abuse, divorce and trauma occurring from outside the family. Parents are given information and skills on how to alleviate their children's experiences, age-specific behaviors, and interventions for these behaviors. Topics include forms of abuse, anger and stress management, developmental issues of childhood, defining good parenting, family behavior, substance abuse prevention with children, and personal growth. Instructors hold MA degrees or higher. "Provider certifies the class is suitable for Juvenile Court cases by meeting Welfare and Institutions Code requirements."

The Institute on Domestic Violence in the African American Community (IDVAAC)
is an organization focused on the unique circumstances of African Americans as they face issues related to domestic violence, including intimate partner violence, child abuse, elder maltreatment, and community violence. National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN)
NTCSN mission is to raise the standard of care and improve access to services for traumatized children, their families and communities throughout the United States. NCTSN was created by Congress in 2000 as part of the Children’s Health Act to raise the standard of care and increase access to services for children and families who experience or witness traumatic events. This unique network of frontline providers, family members, researchers, and national partners is committed to changing the course of children’s lives by improving their care and moving scientific gains quickly into practice across the U.S. The NCTSN is administered by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and coordinated by the UCLA-Duke University National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (NCCTS).

National Conflict Resolution Center
Conflicts arise in every aspect of life—at home and work, in classrooms and communities. When effective communication strategies reveal common ground, people are empowered to overcome differences. NCRC provides services and training that transform conflict into resolution. NCRC works with thousands of individuals across the globe to help resolve conflicts at all levels of society, through our unique and effective training programs. NCRC also offers mediation services for the public and legal community; and conflict resolution services for community-based disputes. NCRC provides the resources, training and expertise to help people, organizations and communities manage and solve conflicts, with civility.

National Link Coalition
Over the past 35 years, researchers and professionals in a variety of human services and animal welfare disciplines have established significant correlations between animal abuse, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, elder abuse and other forms of violence. Mistreating animals is no longer seen as an isolated incident that can be ignored: it is often an indicator or predictor crime and a “red flag” warning sign that other family members in the household may not be safe. We call this species-spanning interconnectedness of different forms of violence The Link. The National Link Coalition is a multi-disciplinary, collaborative initiative to increase awareness and address public policy, programs and research. We serve as the National Resource Center on The Link between Animal Abuse and Human Violence. We want to stop the cycle of violence that often affects multiple family members. National Immigrant Women’s Advocacy Project, American University, Washington College of Law
National Immigrant Women’s Advocacy Project (NIWAP) offers training, technical assistance and public policy advocacy that develops, reforms, and promotes the implementation of laws and policies that improve the legal rights, services and assistance to immigrant women and children who are vcitims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, child abuse, human trafficking, and other crimes. NIWAP offers technical assistance and training to assist a wide range of professionals at the federal, state, and local levels who work with and/or whose work impacts, immigrant crime victims. NIWAP provides training for attorneys, advocates, immigration judges, the Board of Immigration Appeals judges and staff, state court judges, police, sheriffs, prosecutors, Department of Homeland Security adjudication and enforcement staff, and other professionals. NIWAP staff were closely involved with the enactment of the Vioelnce Against Women Act (VAWA) legislation, including the VAWA self-petition in 1994 and the T and U visas in 200, as well as the 1996, 2000, 2005, and 2013 VAWA confidentiality protections.

is a national nonprofit organization for scientists  (across disciplines), educators, community stake-holders, practitioners and clinicians, policy makers, advocates, and foundation representatives.  The NPSC promotes the application of validated, science-based findings to wide-scale, effective implementation of prevention practices and policies.  We work in a non-partisan manner with Congressional Caucuses, Federal agency administrators, and like-minded organizations.  Our areas of concern include juvenile and criminal justice, mental and behavioral health, education, and environmental influences. 

National Sexual Violence Resource Center
Serves as the nation’s principle information and resource center regarding all aspects of sexual violence. The NSVRC works to address the causes and impact of sexual violence through collaboration, prevention efforts and the distribution of resources. 

Our Wave
Building a pathway to healing, together. Our Wave's goal is to help facilitate the process of healing. By developing the four phases below, we aim to establish a clear path for survivors to find clarity and support. Our Wave will provide survivors with the community and tools needed to share their voice and make an impact with their story. Our Wave is an online platform for survivors to share stories, receive customized support, and join a community of understanding. While collecting stories and tagged data, we hope to highlight the prevalence of sexual assault and determine patterns for future prevention. Our Wave seeks to empower survivors, educate society, and strategize to develop smarter prevention methods.

Pacific Southwest Mental Health Technology Transfer Center
is a collaborative MHTTC model providing access to training, technical assistance (TTA), and resources that support the mental health workforce to adopt and effectively implement evidence-based practices (EBPs) across the mental health continuum of care. We serve the priorities of SAMHSA Region 9 states and territories, including: Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and U.S. Pacific Islands of American Samoa, Guam, Republic of Marshall Islands, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. The Pacific Southwest MHTTC also provides national level TTA and resources focused on mental health and wellness of youth and young adults of transition age. 

Parents and Children Together (PACT)
PACT (Parents and Children Together) is a prevention/early intervention program that provides in-home counseling, skill building, and support. The program is based on the HOMEBUILDERS model of family preservation, and operates throughout King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties in Washington State. The goals of the PACT program are to help families improve family functioning, increase parenting skills, improve children's behavior at home and in school, and increase family social supports and social connections. PACT collaborates with schools, public health, juvenile court, and community organizations to strengthen neighborhood and community supports, and to help families and children coordinate the resources, supports, and services that are available. Each family served receives approximately 30 hours of direct service

P.A.R.E.N.T.S. Inc.
At Parents Inc, we believe that all children and families are unique. Our well-researched content is written in everyday language. The aim is to help parents and carers make good decisions that promote child welfare, development and happiness. Decisions about what’s best for raising a child always depend on the individual person, other people involved and the family’s circumstances. Some useful universal parenting principles apply for everyone. But the ‘right’ solution for a particular issue or problem often varies from family to family. Parenting is a journey on which you continually discover new things about your children and yourself. You must always adapt. Parents and their children grow and learn together.

We believe parents are best positioned to decide what’s right based on their own values, resources and lifestyle choices. And we believe that parents are best placed to make good decisions when they have science-backed information on child health and development.

The Pōpolo Project is a Hawai‘i-based nonprofit organization that redefines what it means to be Black in Hawai‘i and in the world through cultivating radical reconnection to ourselves, our community, our ancestors, and the land, changing what we commonly think of as Local and highlighting the vivid, complex diversity of Blackness. We envision a just future for Hawai‘i, achieved by investing in the intersections of our diverse histories and cultures to build connections across communities. Rancho Coastal Humane Society
Together We Save Lives! Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) is dedicated to the care of animals and the people who love them. Our homegrown, private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rescues, shelters and adopts more than a thousand companion animals annually. With a focus on strengthening the human-animal bond, RCHS serves the San Diego County community with education programs for children and teens, and offers emergency assistance for pet parents in crisis. San Diego City Prosecutors Office

San Diego Domestic Violence Council- East County (SDDVC)
Bringing our community together to end domestic violence and promote healthy relationships in San Diego County. Established in 1989, the San Diego Domestic Violence Council (SDDVC) is a network of public, non-profit and private agencies working together to develop an enhanced system-wide structure and response to domestic violence; serving as the “hub” for creative development and planning to address to this critical issue in San Diego County. The SDDVC is made up of a county-wide team of over 300 member organizations including domestic violence service programs, criminal justice agencies, social service agencies, healthcare, primary and higher education, and others, as well as community members. We seek to increase public awareness, build capacity through professional training, and bring professionals and community members together in coalitions and committees to develop cross-collaborative initiatives, policies, and protocols to better equip staff, agencies and community members to appropriately and effectively identify and respond to the needs of individuals and families affected by domestic violence.

San Diego Youth Services (SDYS)
 A nationally recognized, comprehensive non-profit organization that has helped stabilize the lives of more than a half-million young people and their families since 1970. Every day we work to fight the tragedies of homeless youth and youth in crisis. We administer our programs from fifteen locations throughout San Diego County. Our approach is based on practices that have proven to be effective -- focusing on long-term solutions. Many of their programs are replicated in communities across the nation. 

Sex Abuse Treatment Center Hawai`i (SATC)The Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC) of Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is a statewide program that provides comprehensive services for survivors of sexual assault. This includes medical care, crisis counseling, and therapy. SATC also works to prevent sexual violence and create positive change through public policy, awareness, and education. SATC mission is to support the emotional healing process of those who experience sexual assault in Hawai'i, increase community awareness about their needs, and reduce the incidence of all forms of sexual violence. SATC’s leadership ensures the integrity of sexual assault treatment and prevention services statewide. Through research and education we aim to reduce sexual violence and improve clinical practices. We also collaborate with community organizations and agencies to improve responses to sexual violence. By promoting and engaging in public policy we seek to change the public's perceptions of sexual violence, overcome barriers to treatment and prevention, and ensure that the criminal justice system is responsive to the needs of survivors.

The Tariq Khamisa Foundation is dedicated to Breaking the Cycle of Youth Violence by Empowering Kids, Saving Lives, and Teaching Peace. Through TKF’s school-based nonviolence programs and curriculum, TKF works with elementary, middle, and high school students. We teach them about the realities of gangs, violence, revenge, and the importance of becoming “peacemakers”. 

Texas Advocacy Project
Texas Advocacy Project is a statewide nonprofit law firm that provides free legal and social services exclusively to survivors of intimate parter violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and child abuse. All of our services are free. Additionally, we have no income, recency in violence, or immigration requirements for our services. Our comprehensive approach includes both solutions and prevention and provides a range of legal and advocacy services proven to break the cycle of violence and get victims to safety. We provide effective legal solutions like protective orders, termination of abusers’ parental rights, child-custody modifications, as well as assistance with civil issues that affect abuse cases such as housing, employment, education and financial empowerment. The Kapi`olani Child Protection Center
Kapiolani Child Protection Center is a small non-profit organization comprised of roughly 15 permanent employees on different multidisciplinary teams serving all of Hawaii. Their common goal, mission and passion, is “the protection and caring of the children of Hawaii. KCPC “practices what it preaches” by modeling an efficient, healthy and open organization. Their “Ohana based value system” recognizes individuals with different personalities, backgrounds and strengths. The average tenure for employees is reported to be more than 15 years. Employees are provided flexible work hours, and remote computer access allows the employee to take time for themselves or their family when needed. Kids and pets are allowed in the workplace during the day or after school.

The Voices and Faces Project
A national documentary project created to give voice and face to survivors of sexual violence, offering a sense of solidarity to those who have lived through rape and abuse while raising awareness of how this human rights and public health issue impacts victims, families and communities. 

U.S. Army Regional Health Command-Pacific

Women Crowned in Glory/Safe Passage
Safe Passage Heals has helped women and their children for over 25 years to find various services, such as shelter from abusers, counseling, makeovers, job placement and a new place to live.  The mission of Safe Passage is to give survivors a new life, with the hope of building confidence and to become a leader that can give back to the community. Over 30 emergency calls a month are directed every day to the right resources to safety and hope.  The Safe Passage program has a 90% proven track record of helping survivors of domestic violence and successfully transforming them with counseling and extreme makeovers to begin their new life to succeed!

Zero Abuse Project (ZAP),
a 501(c) 3 corporation based in Minnesota, was created in 2018 to protect children from abuse and sexual assault, and works to engage people and resources through a trauma-informed approach of education, research, advocacy, and advanced technology. Our objectives include equipping multi-disciplinary teams and other professionals with the skills to identify abuse, intervene for children's safety, secure justice, and build resiliency; to surround survivors of abuse and families of the missing with tools to rebuild their lives, reclaim their autonomy, and create a future on their terms; to promote evidence-based research that advances child protection, and; to advocate policies that create and sustain a culture of prevention, disclosure, accountability, and healing.
