Professional Clinical & Forensic Services 

We provide professional training, clinical and forensic services focused on violence, abuse, and trauma.

 

Q. What types of services do you offer?     
A. IVAT provides both direct clinical and forensic work.

 

Forensic: Professional forensic services offered include: forensic evaluations, psychological testing, writing reports to the court, and expert witness testimony. Forensic services offered include conducting comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations to answer a wide variety of psycho-legal questions. Other forensic services include professional consultation and expert witness testimony on a variety of topic areas.

 

Clinical: Direct clinical services include: individual, family, couple, and re-unification therapy; supervised visitation; and parenting skills programs. All clinicians at IVAT are well-trained in a variety of trauma-focused and evidenced based treatment modalities. Treatment services are provided on a sliding fee scale based on income. IVAT clinicians also offer individual, couple, and family therapy services. All of our clinicians are trained in a number of trauma-focused and evidence-based treatment modalities to target a wide variety of concerns. All treatment services are provided on a sliding scale fee. All unlicensed clinicians are supervised by one of our licensed psychologists on staff.

Q.    Who provides the services?     
A.    Treatment providers at IVAT include licensed psychologists and unlicensed clinicians who have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology and are working towards their doctorate degree or are a post-doctorate fellow. Bios are available upon request.

Q.    What is the cost of services?     
A.    All clinical services are offered on a sliding fee scale based on income. IVAT’s sliding fee scale ranges from $50-$160 per session for a pre-licensed clinician and $200 for licensed psychologists. Forensic Evaluations conducted at IVAT cost $450 per hour for assessment by a psychologist, and prelicensed clinicians cost $150/hr for helping with scoring, record review, and report writing. Forensic consulting work costs $450 per hour.  Half-day testimony costs $1,800 and full day costs $3,400 plus any expenses. Nonforensic psychological evaluations range from $1,500, if no formal report or records to review, to $4,000 if a formal report is required and there are records to review.

Q.    How do I begin services?     
A.     To begin any clinical or forensic service, visit the Book an Appointment page to set up an intake appointment and to have forms sent to you. For clinical services, we will schedule an intake appointment followed by regular sessions, if appropriate. For group therapy, please inquire about current groups running. To engage in forensic work with IVAT, we may request a consultation prior to starting any work to ensure IVAT is the right fit. We require that you read and sign our informed consent agreement and send that back to us along with a retainer and records to review.
