IVAT 2025 Annual Report

In 2025, the Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma (IVAT) celebrated three major milestones; the Institute’s 40th anniversary as a community-based nonprofit, the 30th anniversary of the San Diego International Summit on Violence, Abuse and Trauma Across the Lifespan, and Dr. Robert Geffner’s 40-year tenure as Founding President. In addition to these milestones, in 2025, IVAT trained over 3000+ professions, held two international Summits with over 2200+ attendees, and provided 500 pro bono hours of mental health or forensic services.
